I think you're missing the point where they were not "trounced". Rather, they could not bring on board a group of Reps who found that the first proposal didn't deprive ENOUGH people of healthcare and didn't hurt the weak quite as much as they would have liked. Now they have a proposal that's effectively identical except it allows states to punch sick babies if they want - all they have to do is "opt out" of requirements to care for people. That satisfies the "fuck the poor they deserve to die" wing of the batshit insane party and now Ryan and cronies are within a few votes (says Politico) of getting it passed except maybe a few Republicans are not quite so into baby-punching and might not vote for that.

So, yes, call. Especially if you live in a district represented by a not-quite-batshit-insane Republican. But don't be fooled into thinking we won anything last go 'round. The sad truth is that the other side fragged its own officers and if they decide to stop doing that we are going to have a really serious problem.
